Wyoming ICC Class A/B Operator Preparation Course

Petro Classroom has designed an online preparation course to teach Class A/B Operators everything they need to know to pass the International Code Council Course Exams as required by the Wyoming Storage Tank Program.

Please Note: The Wyoming Storage Tank Program only accepts passing the International Code Council – ICC W-6 exam for Class A Operators. This must be passed once every two years. Wyoming, as of March 30, 2010, is using the ICC Colorado UA or UB for Class B Operators. This too must be passed once every two years.

This course content not only meets, but exceeds the Federal Environmental Protection Agency and each state’s environmental agency requirements for the Class A/B training. Petro Classroom takes great pride in providing operators with the most up-to-date information regarding federal and state regulations.  Please note, that as each state’s regulatory agency adopts the 2015 revised UST regulations, Petro Classroom has been and will be updating the training content accordingly.

Additionally, this course includes breakout sections for Operators of Generator USTs.

Class A and B Operators must complete the following 9 chapters in order to obtain their Class A/B Certificate of Completion:

Chapter 1: Introduction

Your increased awareness of compliance issues and the operation of your tank system will lead to decreased maintenance costs and increased profits for your facilities. You must complete all the chapters in sequence to receive your certificate of completion.

Chapter 2: Components of Tank Systems

This chapter is an in-depth look at the components of a tank system and common equipment issues that may cause leaks and require regular monitoring, maintenance and repair.  This chapter also includes a breakout section for Operators of Generator USTs.

Chapter 3: Release Detection and Reporting

This chapter delves into the various methods of leak detection in compliance with state and federal law and the importance of proper installation and maintenance of monitoring equipment.

This is the actual course your Class C Operators will need to take in order to become Class C Certified. It is a great review on what the Class C Operator needs to know and what you as a Class A or B Operator are responsible for making sure they know. This chapter also includes breakout sections for operators of generator USTs and operators at marina facilities.

Chapter 8: Inspections

This chapter explains the purpose of inspections, what state inspectors will be looking for and what you should be looking for to keep your facility in compliance with all the state and federal underground storage tank requirements.

Chapter 9: Taking the ICC Exam

This chapter provides you with information on what will be covered when you take the ICC Class A and B UST System Operator exams, along with strategies to help you pass the exam.

There will be quizzes interspersed throughout each chapter. You will be able to review each quiz to determine what you answered correctly or incorrectly. Unlike the real exam, you will be provided with the correct answers to the questions you missed to help you learn and retain the content.

There is also a final practice exam that will emulate what it is like to take the real exam.

Upon successful completion of the course, a printable “Certificate of Completion” will be issued.
